About Chidi
A life tested by adversity. A leader forged by it.
My name is Chidi. I am a husband, a Dad, and a community leader. I believe that strong families and personal responsibility create real opportunities and are the foundation of a thriving society.
I built my life, stone by stone, through hard work, accountability, and a commitment to move forward. I survived a kidnapping at gunpoint and had to start my life over in Canada with no guarantees.
Today, I serve as a manager with Mirka Care Services, leading teams that support individuals living with disabilities and the families who require consistent, reliable care. I am also building a consulting practice that helps organizations and individuals convert adversity into structured performance.

Where Chidi Stands
Affordable Living
What does affordability truly mean?
Affordability is about dignity. It means working hard and still being able to afford your home, groceries, gas, and your children's future. It means being able to breathe at the end of the month. Right now, too many families in Edmonton Southwest feel squeezed.
That must change.
As I seek the UCP nomination for Edmonton Southwest, I will fight for:
- Lower costs for families.
- More opportunities for workers and small businesses.
- Accountable government that respects taxpayers.
This campaign is about giving hardworking people a stronger voice again.
Representation
True representation means having leaders who understand the realities of everyday families - working hard, raising children, building businesses, and striving for a better future.
Too many people in Edmonton Southwest feel unheard. I'm stepping forward to change that.
I believe representation should mean:
- Listening to people before making decisions.
- Supporting families, small businesses, and safe communities.
- Showing up with integrity, accountability, and service.
This campaign is about building a genuine grassroots movement across Edmonton Southwest, one rooted in community, trust, and opportunity.
Safe Communities
Safe communities mean peace of mind.
It means parents feeling comfortable letting their children play outside, seniors feeling secure in their neighbourhoods, and families knowing their concerns are heard - not ignored.
Too many people across Edmonton Southwest feel growing uncertainty about the future of their communities.
That must change.
As I seek the UCP nomination for Edmonton Southwest, I will fight for:
- Safer neighbourhoods and stronger community policing.
- Support for families, youth, and local communities working with the community leagues.
- Leadership that listens, acts, and puts people first.
This campaign is about protecting the communities we call home.
Quality Education
Quality education means strong academic foundations, safe learning environments, and classrooms focused on helping students reach their full potential.
Parents deserve confidence that schools are teaching children how to think, not what to think. Education should prepare young people for success in higher education, skilled trades, entrepreneurship, and meaningful careers while respecting the important role of parents in their children's upbringing.
I will focus on three key priorities:
- Strengthening academic achievement by supporting excellence in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and critical thinking.
- Empowering parents by ensuring families have a meaningful voice in their children's education and greater transparency regarding curriculum and classroom materials.
- Preparing students for the future by expanding pathways into skilled trades, technology, entrepreneurship, and post-secondary opportunities.
